miscellaneous art work

It is hard to keep Judy confined to one particular type of work - as you have probably already guessed - even though it all may fall under the broad category of FIBER.

The process is what is most intriguing to Judy. Trying different processes keeps her motivated.

Below is a sampling of some other projects that have been happening.

Enjoy!

Six 5'x3' willow/gut/silk grids hung on the wall at Carnegie Art Center - the grids can be hung or stood in different combinations.
Pullover using ribbon yarns knit from the left side to the right with only one side seam.
Scrumbled vest - my model is a little more endowed than I am!
Same vest showing the lining made from a silk shirt including the original pockets.
Same vest - a variety of yarns were used with knitting and crochet.
Detail of the back of the scrumbled vest - there was a bit of knitting with a tail of thread that just begged for something hung on it.
Detail of the zipper basket shown in the Denver exhibit.
Cotton skirt with NZ and AU muds.
Banister in a new home: willow rods woven through stainless steel rods and anchored into the handrail and stairs; tied in place with gut.
Railing in that same new home done in the same fashion; used the largest rods available.
