baskets - natural materials

Most anything that is flexible enough to suit Judy's purposes becomes material for a basket/vessel/sculpture. Not all of it is 'natural', but it is all a part of her environment.

Materials that find their way into her art work:

grapevine
Virginia creeper
honeysuckle vine
English ivy
day lily leaves
cattails
raspberry canes
driftwood
seagrass
shells, rocks, beads
zippers
belts
white oak shaving cordage
handmade paper/pulp
oxygen tubing
wires of all sorts
snake skins
as well as rattan reed of all shapes and sizes.

As time and energy allow (and good pics are handy), more images will show up.

Enjoy!

Shell Series: seagrass twined on itself.
